Amalgamated Wins Tender to Supply the Eastern Regional Health Authority with Infant Security Bands
In November, 2007, baby Jeremiah Obadiah Shawn Henry, was taken from the Mt. Hope Women’s Hospital. He went missing mere hours after he was born on November 16. He was found days later at a house on Oliver Trace, Mt. D’Or Road, after police received a tip off. Subsequent to this occurrence, Amalgamated Security made the decision to bring the technology to TT and offer it to public and private health institutions. The Eastern Regional Health Authority tendered and awarded the contract to Amalgamated, who is working in partnership with Secure Care Products, a United States-based company, to introduce the electronic security system to TT in an attempt to reduce infant abductions and geriatric wandering.
