2024 Executive Chairman’s Speech for the Amalgamated Security Services Staff Christmas Party and New Head Office Inauguration 2024

Good evening, everyone,

It is truly an honour and a privilege to stand before you tonight as we come together to celebrate the festive season and to mark two significant milestones—the inauguration of our new head office and the recognition of exceptional contributions by individuals and institutions who have gone above and beyond in their fields.

First and foremost, let us take a moment to reflect on what this evening represents. This occasion is not only a celebration of the Christmas season but also an opportunity to acknowledge the incredible achievements and milestones we have reached together as an organization. The opening of our new headquarters symbolizes years of effort, growth, and vision. It stands as a testament to what we can accomplish when we work as a unified team.

I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you. Your unwavering commitment, dedication, and hard work have been the driving force behind another successful year for Amalgamated Security Services. The past year has brought its share of challenges, but through resilience and teamwork, we have risen above them, maintaining our position as a leader in the industry.

Tonight, we also take this opportunity to honour the remarkable contributions of individuals and institutions that have made an indelible impact on our communities, advancing safety, security, education, and public well-being.

These individuals and institutions embody the core values of Amalgamated Security Services—integrity, resilience, and a steadfast commitment to excellence.

• To James Philbert, your career exemplifies what it means to serve with integrity, selflessness, and timeless dedication. Your efforts have profoundly shaped the nation’s public safety framework. Tonight, we celebrate your unmatched contributions and unwavering commitment.
• To Ian Kevin Ramdhanie, for his exceptional contributions to public safety education, Research  and law enforcement governance. As Academic Head of the Caribbean Institute for Security and Public Safety, he has transformed educational programs, preparing professionals to meet modern challenges within the Caribbean region.
• To the University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT), your role as a pillar of education and innovation cannot be overstated. Through your dedication to fostering a generation of skilled professionals in public safety and security, you strengthen not only our nation but the entire region. We are deeply grateful for your contributions to education and national development.
• To Professor Ramesh Deosaran, your distinguished career and groundbreaking research have significantly shaped public safety strategies both locally and internationally. Your visionary leadership continues to bridge academia with real-world applications, leaving an enduring legacy of excellence.
• To Crime Stoppers Trinidad and Tobago, your innovative programs and unwavering commitment to public safety have empowered communities and transformed the landscape of crime prevention. Your international recognition is a testament to your exemplary work, and we are proud to celebrate your contributions tonight.

Each of these honourees represents the very best of what dedication, innovation, and integrity can achieve. Their work inspires us and sets a path for future generations to follow.

This year has also been one of expansion and innovation for Amalgamated Security Services. We have strengthened our presence in Jamaica, enhanced our cash management services through ECHE Limited, and set our sights on the U.S. market where we are about to conclude on a joint venture in Atlanta. Additionally, our diversification into the technology sector through Promotech in Barbados, Guyana, and St. Lucia highlights our commitment to staying at the forefront of innovation.

Our Cyber Fusion Center and SOC continue to be critical pillars in addressing the growing demands of cybersecurity and digital transformation through our investment into Precision Cybersecurity & digital Solutions and our SOC referred to as Overwatch.

As we move forward, we must also recognize the importance of fostering revolutionary thinking and preparing for succession at every level of our organization. Growth brings challenges, and securing the buy-in of all our team members and acquiring the resources to support our vision will be vital to sustaining our momentum. Thinking outside the conventional box has always been part of our manifesto, and it remains crucial as we aim to build a legacy that endures for generations.

Finally, I want to take a moment to thank God for His blessings, guidance, and protection over us and our families throughout the year. May He continue to watch over us as we embark on another year of opportunities and challenges.

As we enjoy the spirit of Christmas, let us cherish the unity we share within Amalgamated Security Services. Together, let us move forward with purpose, passion, and a commitment to excellence, ensuring that we remain a leader in our industry and an example for others to follow.
