Chairman

Consistent with our trade name - Amalgamated represents the unification of all things related to security. It also represents the ideology of a very rear alignment of a security organization and the communities we serve. The colour Yellow represent the promise of a positive future with great optimism and a state of happiness for all concerned – stimulating mental processes and creativity while encouraging communication. The Black outline of the K9 highlights power and authority with sophistication and a sense of potential and possibility. The German shepherd depicts our ability to supply a superior well trained large-sized dog. Because of its strength, intelligence and natural abilities in obedience training and attack work its loyal and protective nature make it the ideal working breed K9 to admonish abilities of speed and keen senses of smell whilst presenting majestic beauty.

"Green and brown were chosen to highlight the militant dimension of the department. Green speaks to the values of balance, harmony, and stability. Whiles brown represent dependability and steadfastness. The briefcase was chosen to depict an agent and the tools symbolizes tools that are used by agents in the performance of their duty. Its represents success, confidentiality and professionalism. Around the shield are the words “Reliable, Efficient, Professional. These words connect the division to the wider ASSL logo and speaks to the professionalism the department brings to add value to the whole."

The CIU motto came about with the vision that the CIU is looked upon as an elite group of officers who are expected to rise to the occasion when all else fails. The CIU officers are also expected to have that extra personal touch with clients which will place them a cut above the rest.

Rapid Response Emergency Protection

"The concept is to have an ambulance service within the organization to cater for the needs of the community, clients and employees. The slogan is basically self-explanatory given the nature of ambulance services to respond to emergencies and other health care needs, as first responders, where often the situation is a matter of life or death. Quick and effective service in these cases is vital in preserving life.

"The concept of the Sports and Culture’s laurel wreath came from Greek mythology. In ancient Greece wreaths were awarded to victors. Like ancient Rome our intention was for it to symbolize martial victory, crowning a successful commander, of the holistic development of the ASSL employee to eventual victory, of balancing work and play. The wreath is wrapped around the ASSL shield representing the Company’s logo and more so symbolizing service rendered by all the units of the Company – giving of themselves by way of continued volunteer partnership and commitment to sporting programmes and unit service."

"The logo promotes prompt and adequate delivery of service. Inherent in this logo is the requirement of preparedness, that is to say: The journey must be known and planned in advance to achieve the objective. All vehicles made road worthy prior to request which affords best choice. Staff trained and suitability informed of specific roles/functions. Start up time is with consideration for traffic and likely delays. Each journey is managed by the dispatcher with adequate instructions to the driver for ample monitoring. AVL, Call - in, CUG, Convoy and Escorts, back up and contingencies being essential elements.."
