The 33rd Annual Employee Recognition Function, themed “Time & Excellence in Service,” for the 2022-2023 period, was a grand celebration held over two days, on August 1st and August 3rd, 2024. This year’s event recognized the remarkable contributions and unwavering dedication of over 360 awardees.
Founded in 1983 by Dr. Michael Aboud, Amalgamated Security Services has grown into a leading provider of innovative and exclusive security solutions. Over the past 40 years, the company’s commitment to excellence has remained steadfast, largely due to the incredible team members who embody the spirit of dedication and service.
The event was graced by the presence of the Executive Chairman, Chief Executive Officer, members of the executive team, distinguished guests, and of course, the esteemed awardees.
The theme, “Time & Excellence in Service,” perfectly encapsulated the essence of the celebration. It served as a reminder of the company’s enduring values and the incredible potential within each team member. The recognition function underscored the importance of every individual’s contribution to the success and growth of Amalgamated Security Services.
On the first day, 250 individuals were awarded for their exceptional contributions and unwavering commitment to the company. The second day continued the celebration, with additional awards recognizing further outstanding performances and milestones achieved by the team.
The event was not only a time to reflect on past achievements but also an opportunity to look forward to the future. As Amalgamated Security Services continues to provide ‘Total Protection’ across Trinidad and Tobago and the wider Caribbean, the commitment to delivering quality service to customers remains paramount.

Good Morning , distinguished guests, award recipients, officers, senior staff members and the executive team.
It is with immense pride and honour that I stand before you today at this inaugural awards function, held at our new headquarters in Aranguez . This momentous occasion marks a significant milestone in the history of Amalgamated Security Services, as we come together to celebrate long serving employees and the outstanding achievements and unwavering dedication of our staff.
In these challenging times, where the landscape of security and business has been transformed, especially in the post-COVID era, we have faced unprecedented challenges. Yet, we have stood strong, united by a shared mission to protect our clients and ensure their safety while making sure that our own are also protected. It is your tireless efforts and commitment that have enabled us to navigate these turbulent waters and continue to excel in our field.
Ladies and gentlemen, as we gather here to celebrate the achievements of our esteemed colleagues, it is important to reflect on the origins of these awards. Over 35 years ago, we established this tradition of recognizing outstanding service in excellence and commitment within Amalgamated Security Services. These awards were created to honour those who have demonstrated exceptional dedication to our mission and values, and who have contributed significantly to the growth and success of our organization.
The inception of these awards was driven by a desire to acknowledge and reward the hard work and loyalty of our staff and officers. It was our way of saying thank you to those who have not only met but exceeded the expectations placed upon them. Over the years, this tradition has grown to over 500 employees that we are recognizing, today and Saturday just as our company has expanded regionally and evolved in response to the ever-changing landscape of security services.
Today, we continue this proud tradition by celebrating those who have made lasting impacts through their service. Whether it is through a long tenure of 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, or over 35 years, or by going above and beyond in their roles, the individuals we honour today embody the spirit and values of Amalgamated Security Services. They have been instrumental in shaping the culture of excellence and integrity that defines our organization.
Today, as we honour those who have dedicated significant portions of their careers to our organization, it would be remise of me if I did not acknowledge what it means for those with long service as it is a testament to your loyalty and devotion, not only to Amalgamated Security Services but to the noble cause of safeguarding our communities. Your experience and wisdom have been invaluable assets that have shaped our growth and success.
We also recognize the officers and staff members who have demonstrated exceptional service in excellence , going above and beyond the call of duty. Your superiority and dedication have set a high standard for all of us. It is because of your efforts that we have earned our reputation as a world-class organization, second to none, not just locally but regionally across seven countries.
I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to our senior staff, who have played a pivotal role in ensuring that we deliver on our commitments. Your leadership and support have been crucial in maintaining the well-being of all our officers and staff. You have been the backbone of our organization, providing guidance and support to everyone under your charge.
To those who have spent the majority of their careers with us, I say thank you. Your loyalty and dedication have been the cornerstone of our success. And to the families and loved ones who have supported us all, your encouragement and understanding have been essential to our journey.
Finally, I would like to thank the Almighty for His continued umbrella of protection and guiding hand and blessings as he has allowed me the opportunity to create an environment that supports and nurtures the entire Amalgamated family.
