Amalgamated Security Services Sponsors St. Anthony's Tigers Can Cook 2018

As a proud corporate citizen, Amalgamated Security Services Limited (ASSL) continues to work with communities and organizations to improve the lives of persons within these communities served. In this context, ASSL participated in the “St. Anthony’s Tigers Can Cook” event held on Saturday 7th of July 2018 at the St. Anthony’s College Grounds, Westmoorings.

ASSL along with other companies and individuals sponsored a variety of food items and drinks for the event. Through the sale of tickets, the St. Anthony’s Old Boys Alumni raised funds to assist the College in various projects associated to the improvement of the school facilities and edifying offers.

In order to ensure the best foods were presented, served and the flavor surpassed expectation, the cookout’s organizers awarded prizes in the following categories:

  • Most creatively named dish
  • Best presentation 
  • Best tasting dish

ASSL won in the category of best presentation for our Coconut Pineapple Fish, named Sochi Kick Off.

The ASSL tent was also very interactive thanks to the Amalgamated Security Promotional Girls who served and entertained patrons both young and old. ASSL proudly offered four mouth-watering dishes named after our theme “Welcome to Russia 2018” which was a FIFIA World Cup 2018 inspired theme. The dishes were:

  • Fish – Sochi Kick Off (Coconut Pineapple Fish)
  • Pork - Red Card in Saint Petersburg (Ram Style Pork)
  • Lamb – Extra Time in Kazan (Orange Marmalade Sauce)
  • Beef – Most-COW (Moscow) Miss Penalty (Chinese Style Beef)

Patrons were also entertained by a live DJ, a pannist and two musical artistes. All and all it was a well spent evening with good company, great family atmosphere and glorious food – all for a good cause.

Amalgamated Security Services Limited Awards Nine Regional Police Officers at its Annual Regional Recognition Awards Ceremony 2018

In recognizing outstanding Police Officers in ACCP's Member Forces/Services/Departments, Amalgamated Security Services Limited (ASSL) in conjunction with the Association of Caribbean Commissioners of Police (ACCP) has initiated the ASSL/ACCP Regional Recognition Awards Programme. This awards programme recognizes a total of nine outstanding Police Officers from member countries of the ACCP, with one winner per each of the three categories. The categories are as follows: Top Caribbean Community Policing Officer | Top Caribbean Crime Fighter | Top Caribbean Career Move

In 2018, the fourth annual Amalgamated Security Services Regional Recognition Award Programme for Public Law Enforcement ceremony was held in the lovely country of Jamaica. The ceremony took place during the Association of Caribbean Commissioners of Police’s (ACCP) Annual General Meeting & Conference at the Iberostar Hotel in St. James, on 01st May. 2018 Winners are as follows:

Top Caribbean Crime Fighter:

  1. Sergeant Mitchell Roach - Barbados Police Service
  2. Sergeant Ishmael Pitt - Trinidad and Tobago Police Service
  3. Detective Constable Troy Joseph - Grenada Police Force

Top Caribbean Community Policing Officer:

  1. Inspector Roland Cobbler - Barbados Police Service
  2. Constable Cyril Charles - St. Lucia Police Service
  3. Sergeant Shakisha Minors - Bermuda Police Force

Top Caribbean Career Move:

  1. Inspector Andre' Norton - Trinidad & Tobago Police Service
  2. Assistant Superintendent Elvin Thomas - St. Lucia Police Force
  3. Deputy Inspector Rishi Vishal Akkal -  Suriname Police Force

Amalgamated Security Services invited all nine awardees to an all expenses paid trip to Jamaica where they received their trophies publicly in front of the attending police commissioners, local law enforcement officials and other invited guests. The three first place winners won US$5,000 cash for their respective Police Force that nominated them by Amalgamated Security Services. At the ceremony, Amalgamated Security Services received raved reviews and positive feedback from the winners, runner ups, the ACCP organising committee as well as the Commissioners of Police from the various ACCP.
