National Security Officers Foundation & ASSL Honour National Security Officers

In continued support of the valiant men and women who serve our country, the National Security Officers Foundation (N.S.O.F.) under the Ministry of National Security, and Amalgamated Security Services Limited (ASSL) as a key stakeholder, honoured and remembered exceptional Officers who performed beyond the call of duty.

Annually on April 26th, a day officially chosen as “National Security Officers Day of Appreciation”, Security Officers who have fallen in the line of duty will be inducted into the National Security Officers Memorial N.S.O.M. and Security Officers who continue to serve with distinction will be awarded, true to the N.S.O.F.’s motto: “Honoured in Duty, Alive in Memory”. April the 26th is especially important because it marks the single most tragic event in National Security, where six Officers lost their lives at the Camp Omega Tragedy in 1988.

This year for the first time the N.S.O.F. commemorated the “National Security Officers Day of Appreciation” with a ceremony at the Centre of Excellence, Macoya. Three Officers from Amalgamated Security Services Limited lost their lives in the line of duty during the period of 2001 to 2012 and were inducted into the N.S.O.M. Also they were given

posthumous awards for their valour and heroism.

We at Amalgamated Security Services Limited salute our fallen Officers for their unstinted discipline and commitment to duty. They continue to be “Alive in Memory". As we honour their memory we stay committed to minimizing “Line of Duty” injuries and deaths by securing all our Officers and providing safe working conditions.
